Bring a bold pop of authentic Mid-Century Modern style to your home with this vintage orange ceramic planter featuring a sculptural organic form and beautifully molded woodgrain texture. Raised on four integrated feet and finished in a vibrant glossy pumpkin-orange glaze, this planter captures the playful design aesthetic that made American art pottery of the 1960s so popular.
The underside is impressed USA 504, identifying it as an American-made pottery piece. While the manufacturer is unknown, its clean lines, asymmetrical silhouette, and rich glaze make it an excellent addition to any Mid-Century Modern, retro, atomic, or eclectic décor collection.
Perfect for displaying succulents, pothos, air plants, faux greenery, or simply as a sculptural decorative centerpiece on a console table, credenza, bookshelf, or coffee table.

Condition
Very good vintage condition with a bright glossy glaze and excellent overall presentation. No chips or cracks were observed. Light age-related wear is present on the unglazed foot rims and base consistent with normal vintage use. Please review all photographs carefully as they form part of the description. The center has a dark area which is lightly visible but does exist. It appears to be a streak that might be removable, but I don't clean heartily - but gently.
Vintage Item
This authentic vintage planter has survived for more than half a century and retains the character expected from a well-preserved Mid-Century decorative object. Its sculptural form and vibrant orange glaze make it equally attractive as functional pottery or as a collectible display piece for lovers of American art pottery and Mid-Century Modern design.
Vintage & Antique Statement
Thank you for considering one of my carefully selected vintage or antique treasures. I specialize in authentic pieces that have lived a full life before finding their way to my shop. Because of their age, these items should be expected to display the honest signs of time and use that make them unique—such as patina, finish wear, fading, scratches, dings, minor imperfections, age-related discoloration, or other characteristics consistent with decades of history. I make every effort to provide clear photographs, accurate descriptions, and note any significant condition issues; however, no vintage or antique item should be expected to present or perform like a newly manufactured product. By purchasing, you acknowledge that normal age-related wear and variations are part of the character and authenticity of vintage and antique pieces.
